Effective 2026-04-29 · v0.1
TermsThe agreement between us, in plain English.
By using DomiSol you agree to a few sensible rules: don't abuse the service, you own your scores, and we run a beta so things may change.
1. What you're agreeing to
These terms ("Terms") govern your use of DomiSol — the marketing site at domisol.app, the editor at dash.domisol.app, and any related service (collectively, the "Service"). By signing in or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't, please don't use the Service.
2. Beta service
DomiSol is currently in public beta. That means:
- The Service is free to use.
- Features may change, break, or be removed without notice.
- Data loss is unlikely (we run automated backups) but is not impossible — keep important scores exported to PDF.
- We may impose reasonable rate limits or usage caps to keep the Service stable.
3. Your account
You're responsible for the activity on your account. Pick a strong password (or sign in with Google). Don't share your credentials. Tell us at [email protected] right away if you think your account was compromised.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
4. Your content
You own everything you create on DomiSol. Scores, lyrics, arrangements — they're yours. We claim no ownership over any of it.
You grant us a limited licence to host, render, and serve your content for the purpose of operating the Service (we have to be able to display your scores back to you). When you publish a score publicly, you also grant us the right to serve it to anyone who follows the share link.
You promise that you have the right to upload everything you upload — that you're not infringing someone else's copyright or trademark.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to do anything illegal or to facilitate illegal activity.
- Upload content that infringes third-party rights or that is hateful, harassing, or obscene.
- Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities of the Service without our written permission.
- Try to extract the source data of other users' private scores.
- Resell access to the Service or scrape it for commercial purposes.
6. Intellectual property
The DomiSol name, logo, and the editor's UI design and code belong to us and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy them. (Open-source components we use are listed at /oss — those are governed by their own licences.)
7. Termination
You can delete your account anytime by emailing [email protected]. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms; in non-egregious cases we'll give you a chance to fix the issue first.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We try to keep it running smoothly, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, especially during the public beta. Audio playback uses your browser's Web Audio API — fidelity depends on your hardware and OS.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, during the free beta, is zero). We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
10. Future paid plans
When we introduce paid plans (Pro, Choirs & Schools), we will give all signed-in users at least 14 days' notice by email before any pricing change takes effect. There will always be a free tier.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we'll email signed-in users and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the changes.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which DomiSol is incorporated. Any dispute that can't be resolved by email will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
